"The Glasscock County VFD, Garden City, Texas, recently took delivery of a new large brush truck from Steele Fire Apparatus, as a result of assistance from the Texas Forest Service. A Neighboring VFD had received a brush truck manufactured by SFA around ten years ago, which is still in commission and going strong today. Our VFD has always been extremely impressed with the truck and once we received grant approval, our first and only choice to build our new truck was SFA. Our brush truck from SFA is very simple, yet functional with the capability to make replacements and/or repairs with great ease. The truck is also very durable with construction that will stand the test of time and will take the abuse dealt to it. We would also like to commend Bill on his willingness to work with our department on design adjustments, as well as his "open door" policy on questions or comments posed.

I was faced with the project of replacing two of our manpower squads which were outdated, underpowered and lacking adequate compartment space. The two units were ¾ ton crew cab pickups with a custom built box for compartments and a slide out pump.
